Our Story

In 2018, Scott and Jill Boxrud opened the charity, Lift me Up Inc. They saw many very great needs and wanted to help women in the Phoenix metro area.

Since that time, hundreds of women have been impacted by LIft me Up. Many lives have been dramatically changed. There were many women that had lost all hope that are now living fulfilled, joyful lives and they are making a positive impact on other women's lives. We have been able to watch many families come back together and many children reunited with their mothers.
Lift me Up has provided dental care, medical care, housing, clothing, food, counseling, and so much more. And the great news is that with our help, the women have become productive members of society, coming off all government programs and enjoying a life of financial freedom.
We are also a Christian organization and have helped many find true purpose and meaning for their lives.

In 2024, we began providing support to an orphanage in one of the poorest countries in the world, Uganda. For a child in Uganda, with no mother or father, life is incredibly difficult. They risk being abused by sex traffickers or starvation. But the Helping Hand Orphanage has cared for 30 of these precious children and about 20 more come there just to receive some food every day. We have been able to send the Helping Hand Orphanage enough money to buy a piece of land and build a modest home on it for the children. Now they no longer have to live in a rented dirt floor shack. We are currently seeking donations to put in a clean water well so the children will have clean and safe water to drink for the first time in their lives and for future generations.

"My name is Kathryn. Lift me Up has really been a blessing for my family. They have helped us multiple times. My husband and I were struggling to make ends meet and were to the point of having to decide what bills weren't going to be paid so we could put food in the fridge for our children. Lift me Up charity made it so we didn't have to make that difficult choice. We were able to pay our bills as well as feed our children. The charity has also helped us get clothes for our children. We are now expecting another baby. Lift me Up provided the funds for us to add another room onto our one bedroom home so that we have enough space for our growing family. I am so grateful for all that they have done for us."

Prior to this I was homeless, separated from my family, and devastated by this traumatic experience. But this time the Lord allowed me to keep my grandson and take care of him. The ministry provided beautiful housing for us, a good paying job, and a good car but the most valuable substance I received was love. The individuals behind Lift me Up loved my grandson and myself like we were their own family. God used them to heal my broken heart. I finally was financially in a good place to save money and rent a home of my own. Lift me Up furnished my home with beds and all that I needed for my new house.
